Chloe Peters is a UK animator, illustrator and character designer. Studying Animation Production at Arts University Bournemouth in England, Chloe graduated in 2018. She has since worked for companies such as Brown Bag Films and Blue Zoo Animation

Peters uses a wide range of softwares to produce her illustrations - she usually uses procreate, but has also used Clip Studio, which I also use. She has also produced a number of tutorials for the software which have also been useful, specifically when we had to animate for our 4D project last year. Her brushes range from chalk brushes, to watercolour brushes and pencil brushes, combining them all to produce her final pieces.
Outside of her digital work, Peters frequently sketches animals, whether it be outside her window, at a zoo, or getting to meet wolves face to face.

My Work
I was inspired by her used of colours and shapes - specifically when making characters. More recently, I have been taking inspiration from her natural colour palettes and slowly moving away from the more vibrant, or pastel colours.
I've also found that the way she sketches and uses chalk brushes in her digital work is more freeing than using the typical pencil tools, and have been using that when sketching. It's allowed me to get more accurate sketches down, as well as freeing up my old use of linework.
